Kent Hovind is Crazy #1: Tax Laws and Social Security

December 16, 2009 by
Filed under Tax

This is the first in the series “Kent Hovind is Crazy”, which looks at wild claims made by Hovind. This video has Hovind talking about why he doesn’t file tax returns or obey government laws. Hovind demonstrates contempt for the government claiming the “wrong side won the Civil War” and shows that he has no clue what he’s talking about on a variety of subjects. For answers to Hovind’s misinformation see: www.talkorigins.org Read about Hovind’s 58 tax convictions and prison sentence: ncseweb …

    fucking wow. although i dont believe our tax laws are constitutional for the most part this guy clearly has no idea what the tax laws really are, hints why he’s in prison now. if anyone is interested theres a very good series on here somewhere where this lawyer goes into pretty good detail. and what the fuck is this “corporate straw man us” lol we have laws for a reason, and we all obey those laws for the same reason, with the exception of you stupid fucks, and the bullshit laws you all pass.

  2. fortunecookiesucks says:

    As a Marxist myself, I can guaran-fucking-tee you that Marx had nothing to do with the US income tax.

    And we sure as hell are not a Marxist society here. Creationists are fucking stupid.

  3. Jackloooo says:

    So basically, the idiots of religion are trying their hand at politics too.

  4. amsterstorm says:

    are you FUCKING KIDDING ME!?

  5. threeholerhauler says:

    Do you realise that Hovind is in jail for tax fraud? He has always quoted “facts” in his creationist arguments, but has always slanted them to his point of view. He is a compulsive liar, and has been shown to be that repeatedly.

  6. PluralOfEverything says:

    So basically, he doesn’t want to pay taxes, and he doesn’t want to fill out the paperwork getting him out of it.

  7. reprimand33 says:

    He is a nutter!!!

  8. MrOptivus says:

    I do not see why he is crazy. And I cannot say whether I know if any of this is true, it is worth looking into. But I must say from what I have seen of him he always cites many sources, and uses actual facts which I can always double check with multiple others books or on the web, so it is reasonable to me to think he may be telling the truth.

  9. do0me0nice says:

    I don’t see why this is a theological issue and not a political issue. He is crazy

  10. doddsoreric says:

    Total fucked but he is right about that. Although saying the American civil was was not about slavery does show how dumb he is.

  11. sonic8005 says:

    Is this guy suggesting that you don’t do what the laws tell you to do because he thinks you’re not really obligated to do them…? At that rate, don’t drink and drive is only advised by the government and is only optional because God’s word on drinking is more important. God says nothing about drinking and driving at the same time. lol

  12. sk8geezer says:

    Fuck you, burn in hell you bitch

  13. Adnan248999 says:

    Kent is absolutely right about this. Look up Freeman On The Land. I have had personal success with the Freeman route. Look it up and realise your laws don’t apply to human beings but corporate entities.

    @vrghiks

    What does this have to do with Hovind rejecting Germ Theory, or saying the government CREATED the Depression to have out ID cards?

    Or better yet have you seen Hovind talk about mistakes in the KJV:
    watch?v=ajmEB8COS-o

  15. vrghiks says:

    Read the Word of God!Check out these infallible truths,then you will know!
    My preference is the KJV.

  16. Shipuh says:

    Look up “Perseverance of the saints” on wikipedia.

    Case closed.

  17. g12er says:

    @vrghiks

    That’s not how it works. You make a claim and supply evidence to believe. The wilder a claim, the better evidence you need.

    If you claim the Earth is flat, you need good evidence to overcome what we already know.

    It’s up to you to prove the Earth is flat, not for me to disprove it.

    If there is no evidence then there is no reason to accept a claim.

    I’d love to see your evidence for Hovind’s claims.

  18. vrghiks says:

    Can you refute any of his statements with
    documentation?I mean how do you know
    they are not true?

  19. g12er says:

    @vrghiks

    Because its nutty, baseless, goes against what we know, and comes from paranoia.

    See the 39 examples of Hovind being crazy. Too many to list here, but some of my favorites:

    His denial of Germ Theory, his cure for cancer, his claim that evolution was created for the NWO, that you have to buy a car with gold, that the government planned the Drepression to issue ID cards, that Satan flies around in a UFO, that Catholics created Islam, and so on and so on.

  20. vrghiks says:

    Like i’ve said,both ways can’t be right!

  21. vrghiks says:

    How do you know that he is saying
    crazy stuff?Name some things that he said that you think is crazy!

  22. g12er says:

    @vrghiks

    Then what does this have to do with Hovind saying crazy stuff and being a convicted felon?

  23. vrghiks says:

    Are you a Christian?I don’t know.I am saying if you aren’t one,then you are out
    of your mind.

  24. g12er says:

    @vrghiks

    Are you saying I’m not a Christian? Are you saying Hovind can’t be crazy because he’s Christian?

  25. vrghiks says:

    Notice in the quote that those that come to Jesus will be clothed and put in their
    right mind.
    In other words,if you aren’t a Christian,you
    are not in your right mind!
